It's very simple. "I don't want to talk about that. I'm not interested in blame. I want to talk about how we're going to solve the problem. I want to talk about the challenges that we have to face next. I want to talk about how we can create partnership and teamwork..." And so on.

Gresham's Law was about counterfeit money. Bad money drives out good. But it has application everywhere. Bad conversation drives out good. The only defense against bad conversation is good conversation — rational, thoughtful, logical, compassionate conversation — evidence-based conversation, critical conversation, constructive conversation, solution-focused conversation.
