This talk has some nice ideas:
- design patterns are tricks for expressing things which your language makes difficult to express, so you can expect that the proper subset of design patterns you should use would change based on the language you're using.
- python generators are a good way of encapsulating knowledge of structure of objects. Using them is a much easier way of separating structure from logic than the visitor pattern is. (how does this relate to the expression problem? I think it sidesteps it?)
- He mentions, which looks pretty cool.
