Create A Basic Portfolio Filtering System by Brian Haferkamp on CodePen
One of the things I'm often looking for but can't find is a basic filtering system for portfolio items. It seems like the ones I find online are too complicated or bloated. They're trying to do way too much. So I created a basic framework for a portfolio filtering system that works great as-is. You can also fork it and add any bells and whistles you want.

Fizzy school
jQuery makes writing browser JavaScript so accessible, it's easy to skip over some of JavaScript’s core concepts. Fizzy School covers these concepts so novice developers can fill in the missing areas in learning JavaScript and jQuery.

Fancy File Input | Sean's Blog
If you've ever tried styling form inputs then, like me, you probably just tweak their margins so they position nicely, and then go home and drink away the feeling of defeat. Styling most form elements is an incredibly difficult task. Trying to style file inputs across browsers, however, is virtually impossible.

dataCodeBlock, an automagical code block generator
When documenting style guides, maintaining parity between your "living" demos and code samples can be a pain in the butt. dataCodeBlock automates that.

trunk8 | Rick Viscomi
trunk8 is an intelligent text truncation plugin to jQuery. When applied to a large block of text, trunk8 will cut off just enough text to prevent it from spilling over.

jQuery Form Plugin
From the fine folks who brought us the jCycle plugin.
"The jQuery Form Plugin allows you to easily and unobtrusively upgrade HTML forms to use AJAX. The main methods, ajaxForm and ajaxSubmit, gather information from the form element to determine how to manage the submit process. Both of these methods support numerous options which allows you to have full control over how "the data is submitted. Submitting a form with AJAX doesn't get any easier than this!

jQuery Google Feed Plugin
From the fine folks who brought you the jcycle plugin. "On April 16th, 2007, Google announced the Google AJAX Feed API. This is a pretty cool thing as it facilitates feed mashups by providing the server component. This means that developers can easily mash feeds on the client by simply including Google's new API script. And Google has provided a nice Developer's Guide which shows how to get started.
To simplify this even more for jQuery developers, I've created a small plugin which performs the task of unobtrusively converting an element, such as an <a>, into a <div> element which holds feed content.

Update: On May 8th, Google announced the Feed Control. As a result, this plugin has been updated (and simplified!) to use the new Google control."
