Power Ledger: Renewable energy and environmental commodities trading
Building the operating system for the new energy marketplace. Renewable energy and environmental commodities trading: We help people transact energy, trade environmental commodities and invest in renewables.

We have created software that allows for peer-to-peer energy trading from rooftop solar panels. Using blockchain technology we empower households to trade their excess rooftop solar power with their neighbours. Our technology can also be used to trade renewable energy and environmental commodities. We want to create new markets for energy from renewable sources.

The Inmates Are Running the Asylum by Alan Cooper
The Inmates are Running the Asylum argues that, despite appearances, business executives are simply not the ones in control of the high-tech industry. They have inadvertently put programmers and engineers in charge, leading to products and processes that waste huge amounts of money, squander customer loyalty, and erode competitive advantage. They have let the inmates run the asylum. Alan Cooper offers a provocative, insightful and entertaining explanation of how talented people continuously design bad software-based products. More importantly, he uses his own work with companies big and small to show how to harness those talents to create products that will both thrill their users and grow the bottom line.

community broadband networks : Helping Communities Achieve True Self-Determination
At MuniNetworks.org, we provide resources for those joining the movement to build broadband networks that are directly accountable to the communities they serve. Case studies, fact sheets, and video are some of the media we offer to help leaders make decisions about community owned networks. Telecommunications infrastructure is essential to the health and vitality of a community. Networks must be accountable first to the needs of the community, not the short-term interests of shareholders.

In this housing development, community is the keystone - HoustonChronicle.com
No cohousing group in Texas has advanced as far as CoHousing Houston, according to King. The group has pooled together $1 million for a down payment to buy at least an acre of land and is preparing to bid on lots within Loop 610. It has also hired a real estate broker to help negotiate prices. CoHousing Houston has succeeded where others in Texas have failed in part because it hired the architects who brought cohousing to the United States as consultants. They helped teach people with backgrounds in psychology, health care, education and archaeology to plan and finance a development.

They also helped create an organization structure of committees in charge of everything from managing membership to vetting sites.

Mission Possible: Solving Problems and Realizing Goals Through Open Communities
I have always enjoyed getting to know makers and their stories. I enjoy learning about what they make and how they make it, but I find especially fascinating why makers make what they do. Many projects start from a personal interest or passion, but then go beyond what the maker might have imagined. Makers explore and experiment; they create and innovate. Collectively, as a community, makers are having an impact by defining personal and social missions.

Where's the Food?! : a food desert story
In 2015, a friend invited us to a monthly meetup called Food Desert Solutions. At this meeting were people from different backgrounds, organizations, and walks of life coming together to discuss solutions to food insecurity in Dallas. Learning about the issue literally had us asking ourselves…WTF?! That’s when we decided to tell the story and start making this film. We couldn’t believe we didn’t know about this before and couldn’t allow others in our community to remain ignorant to this solvable issue. We started researching, meeting more people, and shooting the stories.
