The 2018 UCLA Activist-in-Residence Program - Institute on Inequality and Democracy at UCLA Luskin
The Institute on Inequality and Democracy is recruiting for its 2018 Activist-in-Residence program. The Institute piloted the program with the UCLA Asian American Studies Center earlier this year and welcomed two fantastic women as the inaugural program fellows. The part-time residency is meant to offer activists/artists/community organizers space for a “time-out.” We offer a stipend of $7500 and up to $2500 to support activist-inspired programs, events or research assistance, as well as an office, parking and access to UCLA’s library system. Resident activists are not obligated to teach, but we encourage student interaction to meet our goal of decolonizing the university. The deadline to apply is November 1, 2017.

Please feel free to share the attached announcement. I’m happy to speak with interested applicants. Full details, as well as a profile of the 2017 Activists-in-Residents, can be found on our website: <>
