Mac users burned after Nuance drops Dragon speech to text software • The Register
“A seemingly insignificant product cancellation is having a far-reaching impact on a particular community of Mac users.

“Reg reader (and contributor) Colin Hughes wrote in to inform us about how Developer Nuance’s decision to drop the OS X port of its Dragon Professional for Mac has left some customers with disabilities out in the cold.”

Control iTunes From Any Application With These Powerful Automations - Mac Automation Tips
(So it looks like this technique might allow you to trigger iTunes stuff from Dragon Dictate. Neat!)

"I also execute the playlist macro using a Dragon Dictate voice command. I copied and pasted the AppleScript script for my Play Jazz macro into a  Dragon Dictate command, and assigned it the voice command, 'Play jazz'.  Thus while working or  browsing the net, I can issue the voice command without opening iTunes."

SuperTab 2.0 vs the Dock for Mac Automators and Power Users - Mac Automation Tips
SuperTab itself looks kinda neat, but so does this Dragon thing about voice triggers:
"What is also handy about meta-folder is that they can be assigned a hotkey. For my Utilities meta-folder, I have the hotkey mapped to a Dragon Dictate voice command (“show utilities folder”), which triggers the meta-folder contextual menu without activating the SuperTab interface itself."

Mavericks Dictation vs. Dragon Dictate: How good is OS X's built-in tool? | Macworld
"I find that built-in dictation now blows Dragon out of the water (or sky, as the case may be). I was shocked to discover that Dragon is missing some of the most common words from its vocabulary list, including "amaze," "annoy," "contain," "clock," "leg" and "tall.". I had to add these and many more everyday words manually, after confirming that they are not in its built-in list. In my experience Dictate's accuracy is very poor compared to OS X's—which is strange because evidently Apple licensed the technology from Nuance."

How (Not) To Train Your Dragon | Appetite For Dictation
"Training Dragon NaturallySpeaking and its predecessors used to be a daunting task. Part of this perception is practical: the training process really did used to be slow and time consuming. (It’s not like that anymore. Training a profile in Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.5 and above can be done in 10 minutes.) Part of this perception is a result of the way Dragon is marketed. "
