Michael Tsai - Blog - MacUpdater 1.4.15
(Well, this looks pretty neat.)
“I have only really tried MacUpdater, and it’s become one of my essential tools to have on the Mac. I have only had a quick look Latest, and it only covers app that use the Sparkle framework plus apps that are from the Mac App Store. Sure, those are already a lot of apps covered, and it’s free, but with the license for MacUpdater you get support for apps distributed via Sparkle, MAS, Homebrew Cask, individual developer appcasts, releases via GitHub etc., and CoreCode also maintain their own database of apps, which includes apps that users have installed/updated manually… even some of my own Platypus apps have found their way into the CoreCode database. And last, but not least, you can ask CoreCode to add apps to their database, if they’ve missed some special/obscure software.”

iOS 13 tidbits: Battery, Maps improvements, more - 9to5Mac
“Automatically close tabs in Safari:
“If you’re the type of person who accumulates a lot of tabs in Safari, iOS 13 includes a nifty new feature for you. You can now have Safari automatically close all of your tabs after one day, one week, or one month.

“There are two ways to access this option. In Safari itself, long-press on the windows button in the lower-left corner, choose ‘Close All Tabs’ and iOS should ask whether you want to enable the automatically close tabs feature. You can also go to Settings > Safari and ‘Close Tabs’ to view the option.”

“App updates have moved:
“In favor of a new Apple Arcade tab in the App Store app, Apple has relocated the interface for viewing app updates. To access the recently updated apps list, tap your account icon in the upper-right corner of the App Store interface. Then you should see a new ‘Updated Recently’ list of applications with change logs.

“While many users now have automatic app updates enabled, this does make it harder to find change logs and know what exactly has been updated.”

Mac App Store Says Updates Available But None Are Showing - GFDC
"I clicked on the Purchased icon, second top right, and scrolled through the list looking for apps with a status of Update. You might see Download and Install but don’t do that, at least not now, they’re not the ones you need.

"Once I had clicked on Update on all those showing and they had downloaded and updated, I clicked on Updates in the top right hand corner again, and the MacOS update was showing. Hopefully everything is back to normal and hopefully this helps you."

Mac App Store not showing updates in list.. | Official Apple Support Communities
(A potential idea for unfucking Mac App Store updates:)
"If you have pending updates of the programs that do not show in Updates tab then you can use Purchases tab to update them.
I had pending updates of the system components which also didn't show.
This terminal command helped out: sudo softwareupdate --install --all
İf you want just to list the updates try out: sudo softwareupdate —list

macOS App Store Updates Not Showing? Ghost Updates? - Apple Toolbox
"Oftentimes going to the [Mac App Store’s] ‘Purchases' tab reveals that you’re logged out of the store somehow. And it asks you to login again. Once you do that, you’ll be able to download updates."

Resolving the “Unable to Download Item. Please Try Again Later” Error Message on iPhone
"There are a variety of attempted explanations for the Unable to Download Item message in iOS, most of which have to do with iTunes Match, iBooks, or the iOS Automatic Updates feature which downloads apps, music, and media, but turning off that feature may still lead to the message appearing."

iPad App Stuck on Installing: How to Get App Downloads Started Again | iPad Academy
Ideas for stuck iOS downloads:
"Maybe the problem really isn’t an app that’s stuck. There may be a download stuck in another area such as a song or podcast that is preventing the app(s) from updating. Go to the iTunes app on your iPad (the purple icon). Check to see if you have any downloads pending there. That pending download may be blocking app updates. If so, delete the item. That may get the app installation going again."
