Event Report - Kronos KronosWorks 2018 - Kronos is firing on all cylinders...
"On the concern side, Kronos needs to accelerate on the AI side, it is relatively late with Aimee and it needs to come up with a voice driven UI, which is key for end users. That is all not too far away for Kronos, but it needs to happen. Moving from Workforce Management to HCM means that vendors cannot hide under the complexity and compliance blanket but must show some style and appeal to motivate users… and we are not even talking Talent Management here. Kronos also needs to get their buying center to step up inside the HR buying center, quite a change for the current Kronos supporters."

Event Report - NetSuite SuiteWorld 2018 - NetSuite goes Global and Oracle
"On the concern side, NetSuite may not be moving fast enough yet. It needs to move to 30, then 50 supported countries fast, to e.g. counter and lead vis a vis other large ERP vendors SMB products (starts with an S…). And while I always like when vendors go back and fix something (the Commerce offering), it does not make sense for NetSuite to play in the space, while e.g. not having a full HCM Suite, no clear CRM strategy , some holes in SCM and so on. So, NetSuite not only needs to move fast, but also smart, which the vendor is doing on most aspects, but needs to do more. For instance, NetSuite needs to announce the next 10 or better 20 target countries for its Globalization / Localization plans, so customers can plan their roll outs accordingly."

Xerocon US 2017 – is the US catching up with the rest of the world? - by @dahowlett
"Xerocon US 2017 is in the books. I wanted to see where the similarities lay between the US and the UK. Jon Reed's discussion with Brian Sommer provides important clues."

Event Report - NetSuite #SuiteWorld17 - The Suite gets complete and an Oracle boost - by @holgermu
"
On the concern side, acquisitions are never easy. It is one thing to plead support and investment into NetSuite – another thing to execute it. There is a reason there is a chasm between large enterprise and SMB offerings – not only in product, but also go to market. Customer need to listen attentively how this will develop for them in the next quarters, as Oracle has to become a little more ‘un-Oracle’ to succeed in SMB."

Does Oracle’s Acquisition Mean More, More, More for NetSuite? - by @erp_cindyjutras
"While there may have been some initial trepidation, particularly from NetSuite customers who specifically chose not to purchase a solution from Oracle, it would appear that Oracle is intent on allaying those fears. By operating the acquired company as a global business unit, it preserves the perceived value of NetSuite as a pioneering SaaS vendor."

Is SAP Still in SMB Stealth Mode? Watch Out, Changes are Looming
"But this is not a “one size fits all” solution. SAP also offers SAP Business One and SAP ByDesign. Up until recently, it also marketed Business All in One, but in fact that was/is not a separate product. It was a version of SAP ERP packaged with industry templates and best practices, purportedly designed to simplify the implementation, thereby making SAP ERP more digestible for the mid-market. Because it was essentially the same product but with a different name, it also added some confusion. SAP appears to be backing away from that branding. I think that is smart. Can SAP S/4HANA work for this midmarket? The answer is yes, particularly where that smaller, midsize company is a division of a large enterprise that has standardized on SAP solutions. But these will be the exceptions to the rule."

Event Report - Kronos KronosWorks - Solid progress and big things loom - by @holgermu
"On the concern side Kronos must keep managing the transition and innovate in its product. The current architecture is adequate, but not how you want a workforce management product be for the next 10 years to come. The good news is that Kronos has done the heavy lifting, moving to an API architecture, even more interesting being used as an API layer for Workforce Management capabilities by large enterprises who have opted in building their own Time and Attendance / Absence Management."

New Group at Infor Helps Customers Navigate Digital Disruption - by @erp_cindyjutras
"Infor is now taking this a step further and spinning out a new group from Hook & Loop. It’s called H&L Digital and its proclaimed mission is to create “Differentiation through personalized digital experiences at scale that help enterprises outpace digital disruption and unlock digital growth opportunities.” That’s a mouthful that exposes Hook & Loop’s “agency” lineage."
