5 Commercial Terms to Address in Workday Negotiations
"In an ideal world, you could obtain a current and complete price list, but Workday keeps this close to the vest and will not readily provide an itemized price list. However, they have provided customers with some level of visibility into list prices, so it is worth pressing Workday to at least provide the list price for each product listed in their proposal.

Ambiguous price lists are common among vendors, but unlike many other ERP providers, Workday’s list prices can vary per product"

What is a Shortlist Anymore?
"Buying teams start their exploration with a few vendors in mind (they may not call this a short-list, but in some ways it is);
As they research, they uncover more options, expanding the list;
They then narrow it down (the first short-list);
As they research more–other vendors are discovered (by their peers or recommended by experts or through their own research) or new requirements emerge and the short-list expands"

Conference Attendee Tips — Illustrated Journaling, Golden Age mysteries, Boat Shows and More
" Download the conference’s app and learn how to use it. Increasingly, this is the only way to know what’s going on, and the best of these apps support your networking goals, plug you into the best parties, offer suggestions on what sessions may be of greatest interest, etc."

Three Things to Like about Acumatica - by @fscavo
"Customers of multi-tenant cloud ERP providers sometimes face a problem with resource consumption. Because one customer consuming an excessive amount of computing resources can degrade performance for other customers on the same node, the provider has to put limits on how much any single customer can consume. In many cases, the provider’s contract will call for a surcharge in periods when consumption exceeds some limit. Acumatica’s approach solves this problem by allowing customers who anticipate low levels of usage to choose a deployment option that is most cost-effective while allowing customers who demand higher performance to choose the second or third option, at a higher price point. Customers, of course, can start with one deployment option and move to another. Those few customers that desire an on-premises deployment or hosting by a service provider will need to choose the third option, the fully dedicated option."

News Analysis: In Search Of Growth Amidst Digital Disruption - by @rwang0
"Organizations focused on jump starting growth must begin their transformation to a digital business. With fewer and fewer companies surviving as margin based businesses, those organizations building new digital business models will be rewarded with growth valuations. As the winner takes all market continues, digital transformation is a key lever in the ability to grow profits, expand markets, and dominate a market."

ERP Selection Is Not Just About Vendor Selection - by @fscavo
"As shown by this long list of activities, very little of what we call ERP selection is the process of coming up with a short list and picking a winning vendor. Most of the process should be oriented around the activities to make a major business change initiative successful."
