Internet Archive - Save a Page
You can actually tell Internet Archive to save a page on demand, either go to: And enter the URL
Prefix a url with it:

And it will save a current snapshot.

Pretty really handy if you are looking to grab a version of a competitors site before they change it for later analysis.. or maybe if we have a new website release coming and we want to be sure to have current snapshots of our current site for comparison.

If you have an account, you can create a personal archive for easy access to snapshots, though I haven’t been able to get it to work for me.

Kind of like the way back machine

Verifying Googlebot - Search Console Help
Verifying Googlebot
You can verify if a web crawler accessing your server really is Googlebot (or another Google user-agent). This is useful if you're concerned that spammers or other troublemakers are accessing your site while claiming to be Googlebot. Google doesn't post a public list of IP addresses for webmasters to whitelist. This is because these IP address ranges can change, causing problems for any webmasters who have hard-coded them, so you must run a DNS lookup as described next.

To verify Googlebot as the caller:

Run a reverse DNS lookup on the accessing IP address from your logs, using the host command.
Verify that the domain name is in either or
Run a forward DNS lookup on the domain name retrieved in step 1 using the host command on the retrieved domain name. Verify that it is the same as the original accessing IP address from your logs.
Example 1:

> host domain name pointer

> host has address

Example 2:

> host domain name pointer

> host has address

Screaming Frog SEO Spider Tool & Crawler Software | Screaming Frog
The Screaming Frog SEO Spider is a small desktop program you can install locally on your PC, Mac or Linux machine which spiders websites’ links, images, CSS, script and apps from an SEO perspective. It fetches key onsite elements for SEO, presents them in tabs by type and allows you to filter for common SEO issues, or slice and dice the data how you see fit by exporting into Excel. You can view, analyse and filter the crawl data as it’s gathered and updated continuously in the program’s user interface.

Google Responds To Detailed Questions On Pagination SEO Issues
Personally, if it was my site and I had to split up the articles, I'd use CSS element to keep all the content on the same page. I'd have pagination just flip the content to page two, but not change the URL. I'd also make a printer friendly CSS element, so the URL is still the same even on the printer friendly page. But sometimes SEOs can't force that on clients.
