CSV files in Vim
Unfortunately I ran into a little configuration problem before I got this plugin up and running, being confronted with the following error message after opening a CSV file:

CSV Syntax:Invalid column pattern, using default pattern \%([^,]*,\|$\)

The error message comes from the syntax file in the CSV plugin, and it boils down to the fact that the filetype plugin for CSV files was not loaded yet. When looking at my .vimrc, you see why:

syntax enable
filetype on
filetype plugin on
filetype indent on

The syntax should be enabled after enabling the filetype plugins, so the error message disappeared with the following modification:

filetype on
filetype plugin on
filetype indent on
syntax enable

And now I can look at pretty CSV files on my console.

RenderMarkdown/render_markdown.py at master · skurfer/RenderMarkdown · GitHub
## a Markdown object to do the work
md = markdown.Markdown(extensions=md_ext, output_format='html5')
## convert text to HTML
mdown = md.convert(sourcetext)

This also looks important, otherwise you get "UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte ..."-type errors:
source_text = unicode(open(source_file).read(), 'utf-8')

Convert Word Documents to Clean HTML
Word 2011's HTML output is shockingly awful. I am so miserable.

WordOff
Kinda borked for MS Word 2011--deletes all the content, leaving only the <style> and other garbage at the top.
