Apps he had written years ago violated a brand new policy. He received a series of warning emails in the middle of the night, and less than an hour later his account was permanently closed. Of course all appeals were rejected.

When Reddit wrote an iPhone app, Apple removed all other Reddit apps they could find. Reason may have been that they contained a setting to hide NSFW content.

At Apple’s request, we removed the ability to “Send” files to other services
Apple says "can't upload files to apple's cloud drive". Also can't upload JUST to other cloud drives because the APIs don't allow it. So now their app can't upload files at all. This is what is wrong with Apple's review process.

"Flappy Bird" may have gotten its start by putting the "rate" button right where the user would be clicking in order to pay, thus getting many, many ratings. Later they removed this. I don't know if this is true, but we DO need better ways to locate content in app stores.

This may be the first non-negative App Store posting I have made. Dude complains that Apple closed his app when it violated a trademark. Turns out Apple had secretly bought the trademark for their own big splash launch. Perfectly legitimate.
