iControlPad - Add real gaming controls to your iPhone!
The guys who invented a gaming device you stick your iPhone into (in order to add buttons for gaming) were surprised to find that well after they had begun production, Apple filed for a patent on what they were building. I wonder how this one will turn out?

Is it a sin to leave your cell phone plugged in overnight?
Leaving chargers plugged in wastes so little electricity that it's not worth worrying about. Change one more bulb or skip one hot bath instead.

The most interesting part is the discussion of the implications of storing profile information, contacts, and stuff like that in the cloud rather than on the device. Allows things like remote wipe (when it's been stolen) and allows it to be the perfect tool for corporate IT departments to give out (because they can control it).

All Together Now!: 30GB Zunes Failing Everywhere, All At Once
Don't make this mistake! Software problems causing all instances of a given tech gadget (a music player from Microsoft in this case) to fail simultaneously. Frankly, I'm almost surprised that I HAVEN'T heard of such an error before. But it can't be good for the vendor.
