GitHub - crawshaw/sqlite: Go SQLite3 driver
Not actually a DB driver, but an attempt to bring some of the SQlite non-db features into the interface via C linking.

GitHub - mozilla/mentat: A persistent, relational store inspired by Datomic and DataScript.
"DataScript asks the question: "What if creating a database would be as cheap as creating a Hashmap?" Mentat is not interested in that. Instead, it's strongly interested in persistence and performance, with very little interest in immutable databases/databases as values or throwaway use."
It's a Rust library that was originally built in Clojurescript, and is still meant to be used for the web via WASM.

(as of late 2018, unmaintained: )

35% Faster Than The Filesystem
Note that it's more like: "Some other SQL database engines advise developers to store blobs in separate files and then store the filename in the database. In that case, where the database must first be consulted to find the filename before opening and reading the file, simply storing the entire blob in the database gives much faster read and write performance with SQLite. See the Internal Versus External BLOBs article for more information."

(aka, it's OK to store binary blobs directly in DB, NOT to have a directory full of separate database files)

Tweet from Gary Bernhardt (garybernhardt)
"Eight years ago, I was convinced by SQLite's reputation for reliability. Then I saw it corrupt itself in production and was enlightened."
