Ministry of Flat : Automated UV unwrapping for everyone
Eskil's paid project: a high-speed fully automated UV unwrapper, based on the tools he built for LOVE
"Just like a skilled artist, the procedure analyses the model and approaches each type of geometry differently to get the optimal result. It detects over 20 different types of topologies and approaches each one differently. The Ministry has spent countless hours UV mapping and texturing models. This experience has layed the foundation to create the ultimate UV tool, for 3D painted models, light mapping and procedural materials. The Ministry of Flat is continuously developing the procedure with the feedback and support of list of professional 3D artists at several different AAA game studios to ensure it meets all the demands of 3D artists."

"AvsP is at its core a tabbed text editor with features specific for creating AviSynth scripts. It has text editing features such as AviSynth-specific syntax highlighting and autocompletion to simplify the task of writing scripts. However, its primary advantage over other editors is its integrated video preview, which remains attached to the main window at all times. Comparing the visual results of several different scripts is as easy as writing the scripts into several different tabs and activating the video preview, switching between tabs gives instantaneous feedback on visual differences (anyone remember lining up multiple instances of VirtualDub and alt-tabbing?). Furthermore, the program offers a unique way for the user to define sliders for any number in the script, giving AviSynth a unique graphical interface never known before. "

"The AvsP project was abandoned by its original author by late 2007. AvsPmod is an ongoing community effort to maintain and provide some enhancements to AvsP"

Note that is a pure Python app, so it CAN run in Linux but requires AvxSynth

AVFS - Avisynth Virtual File System
"a virtual file system that exposes the output of Avisynth scripts through the file system as a set of virtual media files. This allows Avisynth to feed media applications and converters that do not use the VFW API. It also allows accessing Avisynth script output through network shares, and allows mixed use of 32 bit and 64 bit video processing and consuming applications. "
Note that it is based on the author's "Pismo File Mount" driver, Windows-only. Also note that this is meant more for Windows programs that can't use FFMPEG or avisynth's AVS

Not the same as the "AVF" or "AVFS" at sourceforge, which is a VFS for compression archives. This AFVS sourceforge page is:

GitHub - vapoursynth/vapoursynth: A video processing framework with simplicity in mind
(also note and

"a core library written in C++ and a Python module to allow video scripts to be created. It came to be when I started thinking about alternative designs for Avisynth and most of it was written over a 3 month period. The software has been heavily inspired by Avisynth and aims to be a 21st century rewrite, taking advantage of the advancements computers have made since the late 90s. "
- "supports native frame-based multi-threading"
- "is extensible (supports arbitrary per-frame metadata; new colorspaces can be defined at runtime, etc)"
- "has native support for things like clips with changing dimensions and other properties, as well as clips with infinite duration"

other interesting internals:
- internal fork of AVFS("AV FileSystem"), compatible with avisynth 2.6 and the "plus" fork
- "vspipe" for passing output to other programs using CLI

RetopoFlow - Retopology Tools for Blender
"While great modeling tools, Blender’s native toolset isn't designed for retopology; it was created with free-form polygonal modeling in mind. This leads to a slow retopology workflow with lots of pitfalls, primarily due to a lack of universal surface-snapping. Blenders shrinkwrap and face snapping tools only get you so far."
"No more manual creating retopology. RetopoFlow lets you to draw geometry onto the surface of your high-res model."
PR: paint quads onto your model! How much of this is Blender's polygon primitives system getting in the way: if the underlying primitive system wasn't polygon based?

WordNet A Lexical Database for English
"a large lexical database of English. Nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are grouped into sets of cognitive synonyms (synsets), each expressing a distinct concept. Synsets are interlinked by means of conceptual-semantic and lexical relations. The resulting network of meaningfully related words and concepts can be navigated with the browser. WordNet is also freely and publicly available for download. WordNet's structure makes it a useful tool for computational linguistics and natural language processing."

GitHub - anishathalye/gemini: Gemini is a modern LaTex beamerposter theme 🖼
"Building posters with LaTeX is by far a better experience than using PowerPoint, Keynote, or Illustrator. I felt that the one thing missing was an aesthetically pleasing poster theme. There’s no reason a poster designed using LaTeX should look any less beautiful than a poster made using graphic design software like Adobe Illustrator.

This is what led to the creation of Gemini, a LaTex poster theme with a focus on being clean, minimal, and looking great out of the box while being customizable"

QPDF: A Content-Preserving PDF Transformation System
"It could have been called something like pdf-to-pdf. It also provides many useful capabilities to developers of PDF-producing software or for people who just want to look at the innards of a PDF file to learn more about how they work.

QPDF is capable of creating linearized (also known as web-optimized) files and encrypted files. It is also capable of converting PDF files with object streams (also known as compressed objects) to files with no compressed objects or to generate object streams from files that don't have them (or even those that already do). QPDF also supports a special mode designed to allow you to edit the content of PDF files in a text editor."

"a tool to automatically generate rop chains. It is built on top of angr's symbolic execution engine, and uses constraint solving for generating chains and understanding the effects of gadgets. angrop should support all the architectures supported by angr, although more testing needs to be done. garybernhardt/selecta: A fuzzy text selector for files and anything else you need to select. Use it from vim, from the command line, or anywhere you can run a shell command.
"It was originally written to select things from vim, but it has no dependency on vim at all and is used for many other purposes. Its interface is dead simple:

- Pass it a list of choices on stdin.
- It will present a pretty standard fuzzy selection interface to the user (and block until they make a selection or kill it with ^C).
- It will print the user's selection on stdout.
"Selecta is unusual in that it's a filter (it reads from/to stdin/stdout), but it's also an interactive program (it accepts user keystrokes and draws a UI). It directly opens /dev/tty to do the latter."
