Chanda Prescod-Weinstein - Fields of Cosmological Dreams - YouTube
"The discovery of the Higgs boson reinforces the possibility that similar, scalar particles may exist in nature and could drive cosmological inflation. This talk describes scientific research in theoretical cosmology through the lens of the experience of a Black, Jewish, queer and femme physicist."

OCCULTURE: 67. Carl Abrahamsson & Mitch Horowitz in “Occulture (Meta)” // Anton LaVey, Real Magic & the Nature of the Mind
"Look, I’m not gonna lie to you - we have a pretty badass show this time around. Carl Abrahamsson and Mitch Horowitz are in the house.

Carl Abrahamsson is a Swedish freelance writer, lecturer, filmmaker and photographer specializing in material about the arts & entertainment, esoteric history and occulture. Carl is the author of several books, including a forthcoming title from Inner Traditions called Occulture: The Unseen Forces That Drive Culture Forward.

Mitch Horowitz is the author of One Simple Idea: How Positive Thinking Reshaped Modern Life; Occult America, which received the 2010 PEN Oakland/Josephine Miles Award for literary excellence; and Mind As Builder: The Positive-Mind Metaphysics of Edgar Cayce. Mitch has written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Salon,, and Politico. Mitch is currently in the midst of publishing a series of articles on Medium called "Real Magic".

And it is that series paired with Carl’s book that lays the foundation for our conversation here."

"Planetary Collective is a group of filmmakers, visual media creatives and thinkers who work with cosmologists, ecologists, and philosophers to explore some of the big questions facing our planet at this time.

Embracing a multidisciplinary, multi-media approach, we brings scientists, philosophers, and researchers together with designers, coders, and creatives to bring new perspectives to audiences around the world in fresh and innovative ways."

"Planetary was founded in 2011 as a direct answer to the big questions our civilization and species are currently facing. We believe that the root of the environmental and social crises facing humanity is the misperception that we are separate – from each other, the planet, and the cosmos as a whole.

As young people today, we seek to reclaim our voices in the face of these misperceptions, which cloud the communication surrounding issues such as the ecological crisis, the economic crisis, and our collective crisis of identity.

Our aim is to captivate and inspire people to LOOK DEEPER, and question the way we see ourselves, the world around us, and our relationship to the wider cosmos.

Embracing a multidisciplinary, multi-media approach, we bring scientists, philosophers and researchers together with designers, coders, and creatives to bring new perspectives to audiences around the world in fresh and innovative ways."

Erasing Dark Energy § SEEDMAGAZINE.COM
"But perhaps the largest objection voiced is that this model would require Earth to be at the center of the universe. In other words, it would violate the Copernican principle, which states that the Earth does not have a special, favored place and that the universe is essentially homogeneous."

Seed: The Statistical Universe
"We cannot see farther into the universe because the big bang happened only 14 billion years ago and light from distant regions has not had enough time to reach Earth. Yet subtle clues are beginning to reveal some of the properties of the regions of space hidden beyond our cosmic horizon. Our world appears to be only a small part of a "multiverse," an expanse vastly larger than the visible universe, and for the most part completely different from it."

BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Hints of 'time before Big Bang'
"A team of physicists has claimed that our view of the early Universe may contain the signature of a time before the Big Bang." "If the Caltech team's work is correct, we may already have the first information about what came before our own Universe."

Warren Ellis » Every Single Day - "Turn this one around in your head tonight: what if a universe is a thing that builds more universes? ...
"...Or a postbiological animal that reproduces more universes in n-dimensional space? We learn stuff like this every single day. Every single goddamned day a new idea just falls out of the sky. Who’d want to live anywhere else?"

Futurist Ray Kurzweil Pulls Out All the Stops (and Pills) to Live to Witness the Singularity

Time is running out - literally, says scientist - Telegraph
"Scientists have come up with the radical suggestion that the universe's end may come not with a bang but a standstill - that time could be literally running out and could, one day, stop altogether."
