HTML5 Boilerplate - A rock-solid default for HTML5 awesome.
HTML5 Boilerplate is the professional badass's base HTML/CSS/JS template for a fast, robust and future-proof site. After more than two years in iterative development, you get the best of the best practices baked in: cross-browser normalization, performance optimizations, even optional features like cross-domain ajax and flash. A starter apache .htaccess config file hooks you the eff up with caching rules and preps your site to serve HTML5 video, use @font-face, and get your gzip zipple on. Boilerplate is not a framework, nor does it prescribe any philosophy of development, it's just got some tricks to get your project off the ground quickly and right-footed.

Bowline
Bowline is a framework for making cross platform desktop applications in Ruby, HTML and JavaScript. If you've ever wished creating a desktop application was as simple as creating a Rails website, Bowline's for you. Bowline respects MVC, you can design your views in HTML5/CSS3 - then bind them to your Ruby models. There's no request/response cycle - any changes in models automatically get reflected in the view.

ZURB – Super Awesome Buttons with CSS3 and RGBA
One of our favorite things about CSS3 is the addition of RGBA, a color mode that adds alpha-blending to your favorite CSS properties. We've kicked the tires on it a bit with our own projects and have found that it helps streamline our CSS and makes scaling things like buttons very easy. To show you how, we've cooked up an example with some super awesome, scalable buttons.

Modernizr
Modernizr is a small and simple JavaScript library that helps you take advantage of emerging web technologies (CSS3, HTML 5) while still maintaining a fine level of control over older browsers that may not yet support these new technologies. Have you ever wanted to do if-statements in your CSS for the availability of cool features like border-radius? Well, with Modernizr you can accomplish just that! The syntax is very intuitive, too.
