Small | Mostly harmless by Alex MacCaw
As Voyager 1 was approaching the edge of our Solar System, Carl Sagan convinced the team at NASA to rotate the probe and send one last photograph back. A photograph portraying the earth as a tiny blue dot contrasted against the emptiness of space.

Android in Near Space
On November 13th, 2010, my UCSC friends and I helped about half a dozen Google employees launch 7 high altitude balloons into near space, each reaching an altitude in excess of 100,000 feet. The balloons carried cameras (still and video), APRS beacons, radar reflectors, and several Google Nexus S cellphones. Of these 7 balloons, 6 were recovered within a day of launch and one was found a month after launch.

Android In Spaaaace! - Official Google Mobile Blog
Recently, we travelled to Ione, CA and sent seven payloads up, up, and away into near space, each equipped with a Nexus S. We took some cues from others who have sent homemade weather balloon rigs far up, and we wanted an opportunity to collect some interesting data about the sensors in Nexus S – GPS, gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer.

Apollo Surface Panoramas
Apollo Surface Panoramas is a digital library of photographic panoramas that the Apollo astronauts took while exploring the Moon's surface. These images provide a spectacular boots-on-the-ground view of the lunar landscape. The panoramas are stitched together from individual 70mm Hasselblad frames, each of which is also accessible through this new atlas. Lunar surface features captured in the panoramas can be studied using zoom and pan tools. An annotated version of each panorama is also available to assist users with the identification of major geographic features around each Apollo landing site.

White Space: How to Get it ‘Right’ | Think Vitamin
Space is important in layout. Space can be created by content – such as text, images, lists, logos etc. – or it can be created by the space in—between content, called negative space, or whitespace. Space can be passive

Space Eulogies: Shuttle-Riding Bat Dies The Most Glorious Death Imaginable
On a cool spring eve, March 15th, 2009, a bat, crippled and wistful, clung to the Space Shuttle Discovery as it was thrust toward the great beyond. Goodbye and godspeed, my magnificent Spacebat.

Cracked-out Design: Buildings That Look Like Spaceships You've Never Seen
Cutting-edge architecture, or weird starship design? Sometimes it's hard to tell. In our quest for buildings that look like famous spaceships, we came across some even more striking images that should be spaceships. Gallery below.

Pictures from the past mission.
A friend's granddaughter who works for NASA sent us these pictures - I am assuming the last picture is Hurricane Dean - I am going to drop her a note to make sure.
