Online tracking: A 1-million-site measurement and analysis
"Online tracking: A 1-million-site measurement and analysis is the largest and most detailed measurement of online tracking to date. We measure stateful (cookie-based) and stateless (fingerprinting-based) tracking, the effect of browser privacy tools, and "cookie syncing". This measurement is made possible by our web measurement tool OpenWPM, a mature platform that enables fully automated web crawls using a full-fledged and instrumented browser."

About the Memento Project
"Memento wants to make it as straightforward to access the Web of the past as it is to access the current Web. With Memento, you are able to access a version of a Web resource as it existed at some date in the past, by entering that resource's HTTP address in your browser like you always do, and by specifying the desired date in a browser plug-in. Obviously, you will only get to see old versions of a resource if some exist, for example, in a web archive or a content versioning system. But if old versions exist, and if they are hosted by servers that support the Memento protocol, you will seamlessly be able to access them. Because most public web archives around the world already support the protocol you can start your web time travel right away by installing the Memento extension for Chrome. One day, hopefully, also browsers will support the protocol and browser extensions will no longer be required."

Memento: Adding Time to the Web
"Memento wants to make it as straightforward to access the Web of the past as it is to access the current Web. If you know the URI of a Web resource, the technical framework proposed by Memento allows you to see a version of that resource as it existed at some date in the past, by entering that URI in your browser like you always do and by specifying the desired date in a browser plug-in. Or you can actually browse the Web of the past by selecting a date and clicking away. Whatever you land upon will be versions of Web resources as they were around the selected date. Obviously, this will only work if previous versions are available somewhere on the Web. But if they are, and if they are on servers that support the Memento framework, you will get to them."
