Techne. Reflections on Teaching and Learning with Technology
Techne, a transliteration of the Greek word τέχνη and the origin of the English “technology,” signifies for us the integration of learning, teaching, and technology. While the Greek techne may imply craft as opposed to the pure knowledge of the liberal arts, the reflections posted to this blog seek to consider how the discovery, creation, and dissemination of knowledge — how learning and teaching in the liberal arts tradition — is being and can be supported by the active and appropriate use of technology.

Isak
Isak is a space to celebrate tales and truth in the curious, joyful way embodied by the writer--Isak Dinesen--for which it is named.

By tales, I mean fiction (especially short fiction), as well as other literary and artistic narratives. By truth, I mean the world in which we live. I especially have my eye on creative social justice

The Hero Workshop
I’m Matt Langdon, creator of the Hero Workshop program...
I started the Hero Workshop in 2006 with the goal of using the skills I’d developed through living the camp life of “learn everything, just in case”. At camp I worked with people aged from five to “don’t ask” in sometimes wildly different circumstances and environments. They helped me realise what a real hero is.

Ambling Along the Aqueduct
Welcome! This blog is a forum for discussing all things Aqueductian. Conversation, of course, is one of our themes, derived from the notion of feminist sf as a conversation, as explored in "For a Genealogy of Feminist SF: Reflections on Women, Feminism, and Science Fiction, 1818-1960" (reprinted in The Grand Conversation, Vol. 1 of the Conversation Pieces series and available online as an essay titled "That Only A Feminist"). So please do comment freely and often, and if you're interested in making a guest post, write to conversation@aqueductpress.com.
