While I am learning Python, what else should I be learning to supplement my resume? : learnpython
Yes, pick up Git as fast as you can, you want the basics of working in a repo to be muscle memory; learn as much of the standard library as you can, I'd tend to say re, itertools, sqlite3, and subprocess are all going to give solid return on time invested. As are support modules like logging and argparse, both of which you're going to be seeing a lot of. Try to develop solid chops writing and running unit tests, it's very helpful to know unittest for that.

Outside of Python try and be at least conversationally familiar with concepts like Agile Development, Continuous Integration/Deployment and Test Driven Development, as in you've read the Wikipedia entries on those terms and know some of the bywords. You'll find that's going to help with getting through the filter screen of first pass HR people.

Normally, the first step for this kind of project is to start up a linux server, but serverless computing is on the rise. We've never dealt with Lambda or any other "serverless" technology before so lets give it a shot.

Exploits2
This course covers the exploitation of stack corruption vulnerabilities in the Windows environment. Stack overflows are programming flaws that often times allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of a vulnerable program. There are many nuances involved with exploiting these vulnerabilities in Windows. Window's exploit mitigations such as DEP, ASLR, SafeSEH, and SEHOP, makes leveraging these programming bugs more difficult, but not impossible.

How to get an eval or a developer license for Citrix XenApp » ocb - Citrix Community
he XenApp developer license gives a 2CCU license to evaluate XenApp for 12 months. It is a really good option to deploy a small lab for testing or build a XenApp environment for SDK development or testing but as Brian Madden mentioned in his blog while back this free edition of XenApp is not sufficient for "real" testing, but serious Citrix customers can still contact a reseller to get a 99-user, 90-day eval license. The 1 year developer license is also a good option for trying out XenApp in personal lab and getting Citrix certified. The developer licenses will work on XenApp 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0 servers.

Group Policy Software Deployment: Targeting the right computers with WMI filters - Event Log Blog
With this method, you can filter the computers which are affected by your policy, based on common properties of the Operating System. For example, some packages might distinguish between 32-bit and 64-bit, some packages might only work on Vista or later, whereas other packages apply only to servers. With WMI, you can target the right computers without having to mess with group memberships (though you will probably still need to do that).

How Team of Geeks Cracked Spy Trade - WSJ.com
One of the latest entrants into the government spy-services marketplace, Palantir Technologies has designed what many intelligence analysts say is the most effective tool to date to investigate terrorist networks. The software's main advance is a user-friendly search tool that can scan multiple data sources at once, something previous search tools couldn't do. That means an analyst who is following a tip about a planned terror attack, for example, can more quickly and easily unearth connections among suspects, money transfers, phone calls and previous attacks around the globe.
